The Friends of the Park City Library is a non-profit volunteer group dedicated to supporting the Library. Any Park City resident or Library patron is welcome to become a member. Throughout the year the Friends volunteer at Library events and raise funds to enrich Library offerings, benefits and services.
HERE’S HOW WE HELP TO SPONSOR THE LIBRARY
- The Friends Bookstore is located downstairs in the entrance seating area. The Friends sort through donations to offer your whole family used books and recent magazines in good condition, at minimal price.
- Annual Labor Day Weekend Book Sale is one of the Friends’ largest fundraising efforts. Thousands of books are sorted by category and offered at bargain prices to the entire community.
- Annual Author Luncheon is a much anticipated October event that features a best-selling author and offers a delicious lunch.
REAL SUPPORT FOR THE PARK CITY LIBRARY
In the past year alone, and with your help, the Friends have been able to raise funds to send Library staff to important national and local conferences, purchased hundreds of books for the library, provided a TV set and cart for the YouCreate Lab, enabled the Summer Music Series on the patio – and the patio umbrellas, too – and we’ve made sure those Guinea Pigs in the Kids Room are well fed and contented.
