The Library can’t say enough about how supportive the Friends of the Library are to the needs of the Library. When advocating for fundraising, we commonly hear the Friends say that they do this for the Park City community to have a library that is full of resources, amazing books (physical and ebooks), engaging events, and all in a beautiful building.
The Friends of the Library rely on our community to raise funds throughout the year through used book sales and membership dues.
In the past year, the Friends of the Library have been able to fund these amazing amenities, services, and events thanks to our Park City community donors:
- Refreshed the popular PlayLab that is used for imaginative play for children
- Local Speaker Series, which features local Parkites
- Art receptions to celebrate our local artists during their exhibits
- One Book One Community funding for the author visiting
- Additional library events such as Crafternoons, Next Chapter Book Club, and Sewing Classes
- Funds to support book purchasing for general ebook purchasing, the Graphic Novel collections, and Book Club collection
- Patio flowers and ‘Music on the Patio’ music events to create the patio into a welcoming and enjoyable space
- Park Record advertisements to promote large events
