Park City Library has a three-year strategic plan that focuses on user experience, inclusivity, community relationships, and lifelong learning. The Library has defined inclusivity as creating an environment in which our differences are celebrated and supported. The goal for this year is to improve the auditorium stage by evaluating and improving stage access and usability, including ADA access.
Funding
The Library was awarded $95,000 from the Summit County Restaurant Tax Grant based on the auditorium’s needs for the following needs to expand the variety of stage use for the community. An RFP will be released in 2025, hopefully completing the work in the summer of 2025.
- stage lighting that is adjustable without the need of a ladder
- wireless microphones
- stage drapery
- power improvements
Further Assessment
The Library requested funding for an ADA access wheelchair lift to access the auditorium stage. If the funding is approved, the Library will move forward with purchase and installation in Fiscal Year 2026.
Once this project is completed, the Library would like to explore the integration of auditory and visual technology into the auditorium’s existing technology.
