The Park City Library celebrated the Grand Re-Opening of our building on June 13, 2015. More than 500 people turned out to pass books hand-over-hand in a “Book Brigade” from the temporary facility at the old Miner’s Hospital to the newly renovated building at 1255 Park Avenue. One hundred twenty-seven books were passed – one for each year the library has been in existence. More than 1000 people visited the library that day to see the beautiful renovation that blends the historic building elements with new 21st Century amenities like a digital media lab that includes a green screen, sound recording booth, and 3D printers. Here is a link to the GoPro footage that was shot as the last book traveled through the Book Brigade: https://vimeo.com/131016125 The community’s enthusiasm is apparent!
